HISTORY

2022

BREAKING RECORDS AGAINST ALL ODDS!

During these times, where the world and the global economy came to a halt with the outbreak of the COVID 19 pandemic, we were able to not only cope with such difficult conditions, but also grow and attain new highs. In 2020, PA introduced new clients, grew its Civil Works activities, consolidated its on-going operations and invested more than ever in the local economy.

PA proved to be a reliable partner to the IOCs and was able to ensure that our Clients’ plans were achieved in a timely manner whilst working through the obstacles of the pandemic.

2019

PETROALLIANCE RECORD YEAR

2019 saw PA accomplishing its highest yearly revenues on record. to-date! During this year, PA focused on acquiring new clients in Oil & Gas adding RosNeft, OilServ, and Genel Energy to our client portfolio. Additionally, we focused on developing our Civil Works department by investing in manpower, acquiring local talents, establishing strategic partnership with local companies and investing in heavy equipment & machinery. Furthermore, strategic investments in a factory producing pre-fabricated cabins, containers, and steel structures as well as a yard in Bardarash for warehousing and maintenance positioned the company for growth in 2020.

2018

VENTURING OUTSIDE THE OIL & GAS INDUSTRY

Having gained valuable experience and developed strong capabilities across the services we provide, the company decided to venture outside the Oil & Gas Industry with the objective of bringing our know-how to new clients and sectors as well as diversifying our portfolio. PA was successful, and quickly managed to add multiple new clients which strongly benefited the company’s revenues especially in the procurement department.

2016

BUILDING AND CONSOLIDATING OUR PARTNERSHIP WITH CHEVRON IN SARTA

At the end of 2015, PA was awarded the first of its type contract in the KRI whereby PA was entrusted with the Scope to Supply all Manpower, Equipment and Material for Chevron at the Sarta Block. PA understood the opportunity and the responsibility at hand positioning the company as a business partner to Chevron in Sarta. Very quickly, PA showed its ability to undertake the high, cross-discipline, volume of work and ensure that the Sarta Operation operated smoothly. Throughout the year, PA continued to develop its capabilities proving Chevron’s trust to be well placed.

OFFICE EXPANSION TO ANSWER PA GROWING OPERATIONAL NEEDS

In response to the growing operational needs of PA, the company decided to invest and relocate to a new 1000 sqm facility in the middle of Erbil. The facility included PA Offices, Housing for rotational and international staff, Warehousing space for fast moving items required to support operations, Central Kitchen facility aimed at developing our catering operation and a Maintenance Workshop to act as a platform and a hub for our maintenance technicians and activities.

2015

STRENGTHENING OUR PROJECT PROCESSES AND PROCEDURES

We expanded and focused on the remote-camp life support and maintenance systems, and procurement business lines. Under the Kurdistan Region’s oil and gas projects contracting regime, a service provider, such as PA, can only work with an IOC through a successful and competitive tender, approved by the Ministry of Natural Resources. Therefore, we decided to place more emphasis on our project execution process and procedures, and the documents that describe them, in order to increase the quality of our proposal submissions. Our written standard operating procedures are based on our actual operations and experience, and we believe that this is where PA has excelled in matching international standards.

2014

STREAMLINING OUR BUSINESS

Throughout 2014, as the business grew, particularly in the areas of remote-camp life support and maintenance and in-city life support, we focused on internal company processes and procedures. Human resources, accounting, business development, procurement, logistics, operations and health & safety all developed into separate departments.

WORKING WITH TWO OIL MAJORS

Firstly, we were awarded an ExxonMobil OPF Camp Maintenance Project at Pirmam & Betwata in January 2014. Building a relationship with ExxonMobil, who have 6 blocks in the KRI and are the largest operator in the country, was a major stepping-stone for PetroAlliance and was part of the 2014 corporate strategy.
Additionally, following on from the award of a life support project in 2013, we were pleased to add to that a Procurement Services Master Contract with Chevron in Q2 of 2014. This was a milestone for PA as it was a further achievement in PA’s 2014 corporate strategy of building relationships with the International Oil Companies operating in the region, as well as expanding the procurement business line.

2013

CONSOLIDATING RELATIONS WITH OUR CLIENTS

As testament to a pioneering and first class main camp that we managed to build for Afren MENA Ltd., following on from submitting an excellent proposal, we were ultimately awarded another contract with them, namely to provide Catering and Maintenance Services for all staff living and working at the camp. To this day, many onsite staff as well as visitors have mentioned that without doubt, the best food they have ever eaten at a remote-camp in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq has been at the Barda Rash main camp.

2012

BREAKING RECORDS FROM DAY ONE

Only 3 months after PetroAlliance was established, we were awarded the largest Camp Construction Project in the oil and gas sector to date in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq. The client was Afren MENA Ltd. and the project was located in its Barda Rash Block. Senior managers from IOCs including Chevron have since visited the camp, stating that it’s the best camp they have ever seen during their time in the oil and gas industry.
